As of January 1, 2024, the Department of Sustainability Standards of the Public Oversight Authority has mandated that businesses of a certain scale comply with sustainability reporting requirements.
Effective January 1, 2024, the Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards—TSRS S1 and S2—have been mandated for businesses of a certain scale by the Sustainability Standards Department of the Public Oversight Authority. These standards have become crucial for sustainability reporting processes in Turkiye.
Under the TSRS S1-S2 standards, businesses are required to report on sustainability issues and climate-related opportunities and risks. The scope of this reporting obligation will expand annually, becoming increasingly relevant for all businesses in the coming years.
